Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park

 Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park

Our Roadtrip to Rocky Mountain National Park included visits to the Royal Gorge and a ride on the Royal Gorge, Pike's Peak and Georgetown Loop Railroads. Unfortunately, I didn't have any pics of the Royal Gorge or Pikes Peak Railroads but I did have one pic of the Georgetown Loop Railroad.

The Colorado River has it's beginnings in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. The Colorado begins it's journey on the west slope of the Rocky Mountain Peaks. In some places we visited, the Colorado River was only about 10 feet wide! One day, we BBQed Dodger Dogs next to the Colorado, just down stream from it's headwaters. And to think this is where the Colorado begins it's 1,450 mile trek to the Gulf of California.
