We found out why the Railroads switched from Steam to Diesel Locomotives first hand and were able to spend more time at Yellowstone Nat'l Park this time vs. our visit in 2004 and really get a feel for this Beautiful National Treasure. Having seen a Friend who moved to Montana a couple years prior and the opportunity to see the Montana Raillink Railroad before it was folded into the BNSF made this Roadtrip extra special!
We stayed on a working Farm in Iowa, saw the Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 in Iowa and met up with some Friends in Chicago. Good Times from start to finish.
We stayed at the Grand Canyon RV park which was in walking distance of the Nevada Southern Railroad. Take a ride with us as we ride inside a Union Pacific GP30 #844
CopperTop BBQ has since moved just North of it's original location in Big Pine, CA. and is still some of the best BBQ I've had
